CENTRAL READING QUESTION
How can we recognise the point at which persistence stops serving the objective?
TRUTHX WORKSPACE

Reading questions remain open. A cross-book pre-reading hypothesis is documented below.

TRUTHX NOTES · BEFORE READING

WHEN THE CORPUS IS NOT ENOUGH.

A decision is not only made with incomplete information. It may also be analysed within a perimeter that excludes the determining factor.

01

In a private pilot case, a persistent inconsistency led to an investigation beyond the initially visible corpus. The discovery of an external economic factor made it possible to reformulate the causal chain and reconsider the sequence of events. That discovery did not, by itself, prove causation: it produced a more complete and testable explanatory hypothesis.

RESEARCH QUESTION

How can a system detect that an evidentiary corpus is causally insufficient without inventing the missing element?

A human signal — intuition, perceived anomaly, contradiction or external opportunity — may initiate the investigation. It never becomes evidence in itself.

02

TRUTHX PERSPECTIVE · WORKING HYPOTHESIS

Most decision-support systems reason from the information available to them. TruthX introduces an upstream question:

Is the visible evidentiary perimeter sufficient to explain what happened?

When a chronology, economic flow or sequence of decisions remains inconsistent, TruthX should not artificially fill the gap. It should identify it as an unresolved causal gap.

TRUTHX AIMS TO
  • Distinguish the initial signal, verified fact, hypothesis and proposed causal mechanism.
  • Preserve competing hypotheses.
  • Identify actors, periods, entities, flows or sources outside the initial perimeter.
  • Search for evidence capable of confirming or challenging each hypothesis.
  • Document provenance and confidence levels.
  • Produce a traceable investigation plan.

TruthX does not claim to guess a hidden truth. It reveals what the available corpus does not yet justify and transforms that limitation into a structured investigation.

RPO OUTPUT

The resulting RPO can distinguish what is established, contested, inferred, unexplained and still to be investigated.

The signal opens the hypothesis. The investigation searches for facts. Evidence determines what can be asserted.
SCIENTIFIC FRAME

This framework brings together four mechanisms: controlled abductive reasoning, refutable hypotheses, information-perimeter analysis and traceability. Research also shows that outcomes can distort the evaluation of a decision, that reliable intuition depends on specific learning and predictability conditions, and that missing data can bias causal reconstruction.
